Reservations made with Canoe Kentucky are done on a pre-paid basis. Pre-paying is the only way to get the reservation rates that we offer. Any reservations that are not pre-paid will be charged the walk-on rate, a $5.00 per boat increase. Once a reservation is made, you have up to 7-days before your outing to cancel. This esures you a full 100% refund. Any cancellations inside of 7-days before your outing will result in full-payment for your trip. However, the amount that you are charged for reservation does stay on file in your account. That charge can be used anytime up to one-year after your original reservation date.
Example: Customer #1 makes a pre-paid reservation for 10 canoes for the 6-Mile "Fun Float" 21-days before the date. This is a total of $405.00 ($40.50 per canoe, the group discount rate, times 10 canoes) charged to the customers credit card the day the reservation was made. Three days before the trip, Customer #1 needs to cancel 2 of the canoes. The customer will receive a credit on their account for $81.00 ($40.50 times 2). Customer #1 may use this money for any rental or retail purchase within the next 12 months.
Canoe Kentucky runs rain or shine. We do not put people on the water if there is severe weather, such as flooded water conditions or lightning in the area. Reservations made during these times, when Canoe Kentucky is unable to rent, will receive a 100% refund.
